Rules of Play for Advent Calendar Lottery

1. The Advent Calendar Lottery will take place in person with results being posted online. The Advent Calendar is a Raffle Lottery with prizes totalling under $20,000.

2. All Advent Calendars will only be sold to people who are 18 years of age or older.

3. Must be in the province of Ontario at the time of purchase and must be able to pick up their prize in Hamilton, Ontario.

4. Advent Calendars are available for $25.00 each or 5 for $100.00

5. There will be 4000 Advent Calendars available to be sold with the odds of winning dependent on how many Advent Calendars are sold. Advent Calendars will be numbered from 0001-4000.

6. Advent Calendars will be available for sale in person through staff members at Good Shepherd Centres Development Office – 400 King St. W., Hamilton, Ontario, L8N 3R1 with cash payment. They will also be available for sale in person at local community events (home shows, Good Shepherd events). Additionally they are available for sale online at www.calendarforgood.ca

7. Advent Calendars will be sold in person for cash, debit or credit and online by debit or credit.

8. After buying, patrons will receive their Advent Calendar immediately from the seller if purchasing in person OR by mail if purchased online.

9. The winning Advent Calendar numbers will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all Advent Calendar numbers sold for the draw.

10. Winning Advent Calendar numbers will be placed back into the Random Number Generation (RNG) system for remaining draws and are eligible to win more than once.

11. The prizes available to be won will be printed on the Advent Calendar itself as well as the online at www.calendarforgood.ca

12. The daily winning Advent Calendar number(s) will be announced on the Advent Calendar website www.calendarforgood.ca

13. The winner may claim their prize at our Prize Pickup location which is the Good Shepherd Administration Office at 400 King St W, Hamilton. Parking is available on Ray St N, and entry to reception is located at the corner of Ray St N and King St W. You can pick up your prize Monday-Friday between 8:30am-3:30pm. All prizes must be picked up before January 15, 2025. The only exception is the Grand Prize (on December 24th). Please contact Katrina at (905) 528-6565 x3310 or ksutin@gsch.ca to arrange delivery of the Grand Prize. You will need to bring your winning calendar and a piece of photo ID to claim your prize.

14. The winners have 6 months in which to claim their prize from the first draw date their Advent Calendar was purchased for. (December 1, 2024)

15. The winner must provide his/her name, address, and email address for our report sheet.

16. Once the winner is verified with the original Advent Calendar purchased, they will be awarded the prize their number was drawn for.

17. In the event that no winner comes forward and we are not able to contact the winner, the prize will be kept in a safety deposit box and held for 6 months. After that time period has elapsed the prize will be donated to a charity other than Good Shepherd Centres Hamilton, with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
